If you don’t believe me, try it by yourself! □ I falled in love with it when i played the first note with the “Jazzy” preset of the Rhodes Mark II (MKII) simulation. The fidelity & quality of the produced sound is really good, and the playability and dynamics, simply amazing. Vibraphones, steel-drums, ancient pianos, harpsichords, harps, bells, ….Electric Pianos: Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Clavinet, ….Petrof, Steingraeber & Söhne, Grotrian, … Pianoteq is an extraordinary piece of software, developed by the very bright people of Modartt, that can simulate, using pure physical modeling, a wide spectrum of real-world instruments: I really love free software, i hope nobody is doubting that, but i also love music … and i have to admit the limitations of currently available free software: We don’t have anything in the Free Software world that can be compared to Pianoteq. Well, i have to confess that, initially, i didn’t feel very comfortable with the idea of integrating a closed engine with Zynthian, but i changed my mind when i tried Pianoteq for first time □ Somebody could think that this is not well aligned with the spirit of zynthian project, so … why to do it? Holger Wirtz, aka and it wasn’t a free software engine, but a commercial product, with a privative license. This time it was something special as it was the first zynthian engine integrated by somebody else (Mr. A few months ago, we started the integration of a new engine in zynthian.
